Actors had been hired to walk around the party dressed up as Austin Powers, Queen Elizabeth, Marilyn Monroe and a few others. Matt and I were unaware of this form of party entertainment and, after speaking with Austin Powers for a while and getting really uncomfortable because he didn't ever come out of character and introduce himself as one of Matt's coworkers, Matt and I walked away thoroughly confused. We just thought that some of the Attorney's really had gotten into character . . . until one of the partners commented on how believable the Austin Powers look-alike was . . . and cue the lighbulbs flashing on in our heads.

Matt and I really broadened our horizons at this party . . . we tried caviar. I tasted it first - because I'm more of a fish-eater - and I told Matt not to try it, that it was way too fishy . . . Well, Matt ate it anyway and just about lost it - all over the managing partner's back patio. So much for trying to be all sophisticated-like.
